Don’t panic! This isn’t an appeal for money, but it is an appeal for something just as valuable; your time.
Our annual HOA meeting on 3-23-12 barely reached a quorum. At this meeting several present board/council members eloquently expressed the need for more member participation. For instance Patrick Williams, VP, pointed out that there is no “they” to hand off HOA business to. The five members of the board are “they”.

NRG, the owners of the Indian River Power Plant have announced plans to shut down all but one of their generators by 2013, install additional environmental controls on the remaining unit, and end the use of the Indian River for cooling, eliminating concerns about the effects of this cooling on fish and wildlife.
